Whistleblowing is the act of drawing public attention, or the attention of an internal authority figure, to perceived wrongdoing, misconduct, or unethical activity within organizations.
Aims of the Policy
Under this policy, employees can voice their concerns about prospective fraud, illegal and/or unethical conduct, or malpractice in the organization without any fear of victimization, subsequent discrimination, disadvantage, or dismissal.
Employees are protected from reprisals for raising concerns. Any accusation will be fairly investigated, and proper action will be taken in a constructive manner.
The policy encourages employees to raise serious concerns internally rather than ignoring a problem or reporting it externally.
